What The Pros Are Doing- Repetion

Case of stairs. The Stairs begin to spiral down leading to the last floor.
Picture was shot in France.

The repetition in this picture is the aligned benches facing the lake.
Following it down the whole row of benches to the farthest one.

Throughout the picture theres is a repetition of the same shoes AFJ1's From 1985.

What the pros are doing- Sports

Shot with: Canon EOS-1D Mark II N, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM zoom, shot at 1/1000 f/2.8

1.) Focal length of lens -
70-200mm

2.) Shutter Speed -
1/1000

3.) What is the effect of shooting at this shutter speed?
Takes pictures repetitively and faster.

4.) Aperture-
f/2.8

5.) What is the effect (Depth of field) of shooting at this aperture?
It gives the picture a 3d look. Its not a flat picture.

6.) Position - Describe where you think the photographer was standing to get this shot.
On the sidelines of the field. Since J.D. did the incredible leap it gives the picture depth plus the crowd in the back of the field.

Show & Tell

I like this photo for many reasons, the fact that the photographer was able to catch a photo with the dog in the air. The picture has a alot of depth in it. The green colorful stands out because the light is hitting the branches in a perfect position.

Academics Preview

Fill The Frame
There is many interesting things to point out when you see this picture.
There is some sort of word bank on the chalkboard.
The famous Patrick Star from Sponge-bob Square-pants showing what classroom were looking into. A stencil of a young adult on the pin board. The light board the student is tracing his paper over gives this frame and ambient feel to this picture.

Action & Emotion
The student is filling all of the beakers with some type of chemical.
Her facial expression shows alot of determination trying to finish everything.

The Story
Action: Both Hands are moving a bingo chip, you can agree that this person is at a nursing home of some sort, as if meeting at the crossroads the elderly person and the younger one, next couple decades the younger person will be sitting where she is.

Emotion: No shyness, helpful type of mood the way their right next to each other and attending the elderly person.

Great Black & White Photographers

I see a long river with mounains and trees. The clouds giving it the look like it is just about to rain.

I smell the rivers water with all the different plants and trees.

I hear the water going downstream and the air breezing through the trees.

I taste the pine tree smell from the trees and a the river water.

I feel the cool air breeze passing through me standing where i am at.

I see Malcolm x and thousands of people waiting for Malcolm to give a speech.

I smell a lot of cigarette smoke in the air within the crowd.

I hear people snickering, yelling, conversing, above Malcolm X's speech at the same time.

I taste a lot of tabacco from all the smoke, some wine smell, people starting to smell because of the body smell.

I feel claustrophobic around all the people, hot and thirsty, same as being in a concert in a way.

Hurricane Ike

Lines
The docks get your attention then it leads back into the street with vehicles everywhere. I like the waves with the white salt water hitting the shore being able to see where the water stops at.

Simplicity
The rest of the picture is all completely faded and isn't facing towards the camera, nor is the person but you have a clear shot to his back. He is in the center of the picture so its simple and catches your attention.

Framing
The sign of the highway above all the wreckage frames what happened.
The reason i chose this picture is considering how only one side of the highway was effected entirely. Just a large amount of different objects.
